Funding sustainable initiatives through microfinance.
We want to help encourage communities around the world to strive for environmentally sustainable aims and practices.
Our mission is to finance individuals, businesses, and groups that act with sustainable goals in mind. Based on Los Angeles, we hope to employ microfinance to promote green enterprises in our local communities and beyond.
Since May 2023, we’ve helped fund more than US$80,000 in microloans for sustainable initiatives.
The Fir Foundation leads a consortium of individual and corporate backers to facilitate funding for a variety of local sustainable ventures. The microloans we help finance are composed of a combination of the Foundation’s internal funds and the individual contributions of our sponsors and backers.
Sustainable impact
Making use of available microfinance platforms.
We help fund sustainable enterprises through a variety of microfinance platforms, including Kiva, SoloFunds, and GoPeer. From small businesses that stand for a sustainable cause to individuals seeking financial help to improve their personal environmental footprint, we aim to facilitate as many microloans for sustainable goals as we can.
